Here you have the natural cuisine right at your doorstep: lingonberries and blueberries (July, early August), cloudberries (August), mushrooms (summer, autumn), scallops (collect, dive), fishing opportunities all year round from the pier/land or from the boat (incl. Ice fishing, free fishing in several lakes), sea trout (from about March 1), crabs (the famous Hitra crabs and troll crabs are a delicacy), hunting opportunities (deer and stag, September-December). There are great diving opportunities around Hitra. Swimming, bowling and organized trips to the fish farm in Fillan (approx. 40 km). 25 km to 9-hole golf course.
