The Isefjord is within walking distance and the surroundings are beautiful. Take a trip with your own canoe or buy a collective ticket for the four ferries with which you can sail the fjord to admire the beautiful scenery from the water. On the Hornsherred peninsula with the town of Jægerspris, beautiful nature with large forests and rolling hills invites you to take refreshing walks along the signposted trails. At the pretty castle 'Jægerspris' daily guided tours take place and in 'Nordskoven' the forest near Jægerspris you can admire over 1000 year old oaks. In the idyllic town of Frederikssund Viking games are held annually, where you can subsequently feast on entertainment in Valhalla. Golf lovers are also catered for, as Frederikssund has an 18-hole golf course. Only 50 km away is Copenhagen with numerous sights and amusements, such as Tivoli, Zoo, Planetarium, Experimentarium and many interesting museums.
